I am thinking of starting an exercise program to help with my back pain. Which exercises do you think are the best? |

Thank you for the question. First of all, it is most important that you have and see a chiropractor for an evaluation and any necessary corrective adjustive care. Without addressing your primary and underlying spine and nervous system issues, the exercises won't get you where you need to get and sometimes can aggravate the condition. The reason is that the pattern is maintained in your nervous system, which needs to be changed through the spine.
After correction is well on its way, the best back and other spinal and extremity exercises are in the book Pain Free by Robert Egoscue.
Let me know if I can be of further help.
Dr. Norton
